Due to being 100% delivery, our location is constantly changing. We will need to coordinate by phone to get you on the schedule.


 Yes. Call us to work out the details and special pricing.


We charge a 4% convenience fee on credit cards to cover the processing fees required to accept them. This does not apply to cash or the credit card transaction required for reservations/deposit.


Rental equipment is delivered with a full tank of gas. A full tank should last for most rentals. However, if you require more fuel, it will be at your expense. All rentals can be returned empty with no penalty. 


**Due to rising fuel costs, we are adding a fuel surcharge for each piece of equipment rented. 

$25 - fuel surcharge added for each jet ski.

$50 - fuel surcharge added for each pontoon.


The sooner the better! You will have a much better chance of getting on the schedule when you want if you call 1-2 weeks in advance. We do have openings the day of on occasion, but it is not guaranteed.


Yes. Deliveries within 50 miles of downtown Grand Rapids will be charged a $50 flat-rate delivery fee. Deliveries beyond 50 miles will include the $50 flat-rate fee, plus an additional $2 per mile (both directions) for mileage over 50 miles. This is applied to all vehicles needed to haul the equipment, 


Yes. There is a 20% reservation deposit required at the time of booking to hold your space. This will be applied to your total balance.


The balance is due on or before the day of your rental and must be paid in full before you hit the water. If paying with a method other than a major credit card (no debit cards), a major credit card will still be required on file until the equipment is brought back undamaged.


No. There is no additional deposit needed. However, we will have your credit card info on file that will be charged if there are damages. If paying with a method other than a major credit card (no debit cards), a major credit card will still be required on file until the equipment is brought back undamaged.


We prefer cash and we accept all major credit cards (no debit cards), Apple Pay, and most Cash Apps. If paying with a method other than a major credit card (no debit cards), a major credit card will still be required on file until the equipment is brought back undamaged.


a. We have a 10% military, veterans  discount.

b. We have pre-season/post-season discounts.

c. We have discounted rates if you book for multiple, consecutive days.

d. We have discounted rates if you book multiple pieces of equipment for multiple, consecutive days.


Yes. We have coast guard approved PFDs (personal floatation devices) in all available sizes.


Anytime you are around water, knowing how to swim is preferred. You will have a floatation device on, but if you are distant from shore and need to swim to land, knowing how to swim is very beneficial.


We strongly recommend staying on an inland lake. If you go out to Lake Michigan, the waves must be under 2 ft. The conditions can be unpredictable and if you require assistance/rescue, the cost will be your sole responsibility.


You must be 25 years old with a valid driver's license and a major credit card (no debit cards).


You must be 18 years old with a boater’s safety certificate and a valid driver's license. If you would like to obtain a boater’s safety certificate before the rental, you may go to this link and get certified. https://www.boat-ed.com/michigan/. Please bring a copy of your certificate. You will need to have it onboard during the rental. We can do a certification on the day of the rental for anyone 21 years or older that is only valid for the duration of the rental.


500 lbs.


All jet skis are three seaters but two are recommended unless one is a child. Two people are more comfortable and more stable.


Possessing a boater safety certificate, commonly called a boater’s license, is preferred. If you would like to obtain a boater’s safety certificate before the rental, you may go to this link and get certified. https://www.boat-ed.com/michigan/. Please bring a copy of your certificate. You will need to have it onboard during the rental. We can do a certification on the day of the rental for anyone 21 years or older that is only valid for the duration of the rental.


a. The pontoon holds 10-12 people.

b. We provide clean white beach towels for all guests on the boat. No other towels with dye allowed on the boat.

c. No glass allowed on the boat - only plastic or cans allowed.

d. No flames allowed. No smoking. No grilling, etc.

e. No fishing allowed.  Our pontoons are not set up for fishing and can be easily damaged by hooks and knives, etc.

f. We do not allow spray/aerosol sunscreen, specifically with the chemical "avobenzone",  on the pontoons as it damages the seating. Please only use cream/lotion sunscreen.


Yes, you can pull a tube with our pontoon and jet ski rentals. Tubes/ropes available for an additional fee.


Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time. We will need time to go over safety, operation and sign contracts.


We understand that people's schedules can change. 


a. If you cancel 7 days prior to your scheduled rental, we are happy to refund your 20% reservation deposit or reschedule on a different day. 

b. If reservations are cancelled within 7 days, the 20%  reservation deposit is non-refundable but we are more than happy to reschedule.

c. All no shows will not receive a refund of the reservation deposit.


We do not operate if there is thunder and/or lightning at the location of your rental. In this case, Living Water Adventures will call you to reschedule or refund your deposit. We are constantly monitoring the weather and travelers should be aware that current weather conditions at the rental location can vary greatly from the location they are traveling from. All cancellation requests are decided by LWA based on current weather conditions at the rental location. 


In cases of rain, cloudy skies, wind, or lower temperatures than expected, the scheduled appointment stands. We understand that this type of weather can be discouraging and we are happy to reschedule another day, however an additional delivery fee will be added to the original agreed upon price.


a. The signed Rental Agreement.

b. The signed Boater Safety Checklist from all participants operating the equipment.

c. Towels. No towels with dye allowed on pontoons (they are provided for pontoon rentals only).

d. Other Suggestions:

  • Sunscreen - See #20 for specific sunscreen requirements for our pontoons.
  • Water/drinks

  • Dry change of clothes
  • Food/Snacks
  • Hat.

Currently our opening date is projected to be June 1, 2026, as long as the weather continues to cooperate. Due to chilly water temps, this date is subject to change. Our customers safety is our #1 priority. We look forward to getting you on the water soon!
